I have a zip drive plugged into my usb port but can't find it on my desktop, where do i find it

I have a PNY zip drive plugged into my usb port on my Macbook Pro but I can't find it on the computer to open it. I need to export some photos from my computer onto the drive but the computer isn't showing it anywhere. Am I missing something????
